COVID-19 Update

To all our members and wider CROWN family,

In light of the recent Coronavirus Statement released by the BRC, the CROWN committee has discussed this evening where this leaves the club and you, our members. It has been strongly recommended that no riding club activities of any nature should take place from midnight tonight up to and including the 30th June. This includes all BRC events (qualifiers and championships), training and camps. We strongly feel that we must all do our bit to help combat this virus which is causing so much havoc worldwide. As such, CROWN will 100% adhere to these guidelines and from midnight tonight, all club events due to be held over the next few months such as the FOTH Eventer Challenge, Stressless Dressage and Stressless Show Jumping, all training sessions including agility and Spring Camp are to be cancelled. Once we have a clearer idea of how things progress, we hope that we might be able to rearrange our Stressless events for later in the year but that is totally dependent upon the situation and advice we are given. Any payments which have been made to CROWN already for any upcoming team events, training sessions or camps will be refunded. Please just bear with us as we try to process these as it may take some time, but we will keep you in the loop.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and regularly review things under the guidance of the BRC and our Area 5 representatives and will of course keep you all updated as things progress. We are so conscious and worried about the impact that these cancellations will have on our incredible bunch of trainers and venues who we use and we will look to support them where we possibly can with some potential new ideas which we have up our sleeves. Equally, we have such a great selection of club sponsors who will also need our support, so please do head to our website to read about them, follow their social media pages and support them in any way you can. In times like this we just need to look out for one another, and that’s something we can say we do at CROWN.

We know it is a bitter disappointment, as a committee and club we had so many things planned for the upcoming months, but we’re made of stronger stuff and we’re a pretty stubborn and determined bunch, so we won’t be beaten that’s for sure!

So, for now, whilst we might not be able to see one another and enjoy our ponies together, we will continue to keep the CROWN spirit alive on our social media pages whilst we wait for the storm to blow over and if anyone needs any help please just shout.

Stay safe and we'll see you all soon, we promise.
