The BRC have joined forces with BE and Pony Club to unify hat standards so that a single hat tag is now being accepted across all three Member Bodies.  For 2023, all BRC members wishing to compete in any BRC Qualifiers or Championships must be checked and tagged with a PINK hat tag.  The reason for this new colour change from Aqua to Pink is due to the removal of PAS 015 1998 and SNELL 2001 from the 2023 hat safety standards.

It is up to you to ensure that your hat is up to standard and to arrive at a competition with the correct hat and get it checked and tagged with the new tag on arrival at your next BRC competition! All you need to do, is take your hat to the Secretary on arrival at the venue and see the Official Steward for the day who will check that your hat is ok and they will tag it for you.
