The schedule for the Horslyx Winter Show Jumping Qualifier at Solihull RC on Sunday 19th October is now available. Open to juniors and seniors, with classes at 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, and 100cm - there is something for everyone. You can enter up to two classes per horse, just make sure that you AND your horse are eligible for the height you wish to enter. This is the rider's responsibility to check before entering. For the full schedule, click on the following link:
Each rider will ride two rounds (one outdoors, the second indoors) the first is a slightly smaller round and the second round will be maximum height eg: 90cm will be 85-90cm first round and 90cm-95cm indoors. The second round will be run as a single phase competition, so the first part of the course will be the second round, followed by the second part of the course which will be classed as the jump-off. The jump-off will follow straight on from the first part of the course without stopping. All team and individual members will go forward to the second part of the second round (jump-off) unless eliminated.
For Winter qualifiers and onwards, BRC has introduced a ‘competition pass’ which takes the place of Pre-Entries. To compete and qualify for BRC championships, all entrants must have a valid club membership AND a valid competition pass, which can be purchased via the BRC Sport80 portal. Any member competing at a qualifier without both club membership and a competition pass will be disqualified. The competition passes are £30 plus transaction fee (for riders with 1-2 horses) and £45 plus transaction fee (for riders with 3 or more horses) for a rolling 12 months. Horses do not need to be registered. For full FAQs and a guide on how to purchase your pass, click here.
Please note, that ALL horses competing must be microchipped. They must also have up to date annual flu vaccination but must NOT have been vaccinated within the 7 days prior to the event.
To enter please log in to your members portal.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to select the number of classes you wish to do (by selecting the correct number of 'spaces' - there is NO option to select heights, so please include the heights in the comments section) and you MUST include your entry details (rider name, horse name as it appears on the passport) and follow right through to payment.
All riders competing for CROWN are required to wear club team kit. For this event riders are asked to wear the club saddlecloth which can be purchased from the team at JS Teamwear. Please note that all hats must be up to the current standard (please check for the current guidelines in the BRC Rulebook) and they must all be checked and tagged with the new PINK sticker, which must be done at Secretary's Office on arrival BEFORE you compete.
