Charlotte Agnew

Charlotte is one of the country’s most promising Event Riders, having represented Great Britain on both Junior and Young Rider teams – most notably winning team gold and finishing 4th individually on Little Beau at Blair Castle in 2007.

Having graduated from Edinburgh University in 2011 with a 2:1 in English Literature, Charlotte moved from her native Scotland to Oxfordshire, in order to have all the facilities, events and best possible training at her fingertips. This move certainly paid off as Charlotte has been placed consistently on the international stage.

Out of Africa, the homebred, has a number of 3* accolades to his name proving himself to be world class finishing 5th and best of the British at Luhmuhlen CCI4* in 2012; the combination were selected for the Senior Europeans last year.  With versatility being hugely important to the eventing sport, Charlotte has also had international success on a number of other horses who she has produced through the ranks. These include Pavonita (2nd Hartpury CCI1* and 11th Houghton CCI2* 2012), Dubleton (1st Brandhall CCI1*2013), and Longwood (7th CCI3* 2013).

Despite being a true British rider, Charlotte is keen to remember her Scottish roots; indeed she has been ranked the No.1 Scottish Event rider in the FEI World Rankings for the last two years. Supported by the lottery funded World Class Development programme Charlotte now has her sights firmly set on the 2016 Olympics.

Charlotte is delighted to be part of the CROWN training team and we are thrilled to have her on Board.
