George, living in London, began riding at the age of 9 having regular lessons at Ealing Riding School. George took part in all the normal pony club and riding school activities until he reached the age of 15 when he decided to take a break from horse riding.
At the age of 20 George found himself back in the riding world when he took up eventing, competing from 90cm through tointermediate and CCI* level. After competing for 4 years George decided to concentrate wholly on dressage and in doing so qualified in regional finals and won numerous smaller shows. George is now a Group 3 rider who has competed to Prix St Georges level on horses that he has produced himself. George has trained with David Trott (an international list one dressage judge) for over 8 years and also trains with International Grand Prix rider Gareth Hughes.
In the last five years George has learnt to train horses from the very start, right through to Grand Prix level and is very excited about the young horses that he is currently bringing on. George runs his own livery yard (Babbington Dressage) and spends much of his time teaching and coaching taking all he has learnt over the years, sharing his knowledge in a sympathetic and empathetic way that is always calming and consistent. George teaches in a way that is easily understood and really helps build confidence between horse and rider.
George is very excited to be part of the CROWN training team and is really looking forward to working and sharing his knowledge with our members.
